Planner FAQ

Questions planners ask before booking

Straight answers to what usually comes up first. If your question is not here, ask and you will hear back within one business day.

What does Chris speak about?
Workforce motivation, leadership, retention, and personal potential, drawn from running national healthcare staffing companies rather than from theory. Signature programs include The Power of Small Moments, Motivating Today’s Workforce, and The Leadership Exchange. He also builds custom sessions around a conference theme. See all speaking programs.
What does Chris charge?
Fees depend on format, travel, length of session, and whether the booking includes a workshop, breakout, or book copies. Rather than publish a single number that would not fit most events, Chris quotes each one directly. Share your date, location, and audience and you will get a straight answer quickly. For general market context, read how much a keynote speaker costs.
Is Chris available for our date?
Availability changes constantly, so the fastest path is to send your date and get a direct answer. Conference season fills earliest, so groups booking six to nine months out have the most flexibility.
Does Chris customize the talk for our audience?
Yes, and it is built into the process rather than offered as an upgrade. Before the event Chris asks about your theme, your audience makeup, and what you are actually trying to shift. Stories and examples get swapped to match the room, so a nursing audience and a sales team hear different versions of the same framework.
Will Chris speak virtually?
Yes. Chris has led virtual sessions and webinars for national associations including NATHO, the American Staffing Association, and Definitive Healthcare. Virtual bookings carry no travel cost and are often a good fit for chapter meetings and member education. See past webinars.
What size audience works best?
Chris has spoken to groups from small leadership teams to full conference general sessions of several hundred. Keynotes suit large rooms, while workshops and The Leadership Exchange work better in smaller settings where the group can interact.
Can we add book copies for attendees?
Yes. Chris is the author of You Are Capable of More, and bulk orders, book signings, and author appearances can be added to a booking. Planners often use a signed copy as the takeaway that keeps the message alive after the event.
What does Chris need from us on site?
A wireless lavalier or handheld mic, a screen and projector or LED wall with HDMI, and a confidence monitor if available. Chris travels with his own clicker and backup slides. Full detail, plus a sample introduction you can hand your emcee, is on this page above.
How far in advance should we book?
Six to nine months is comfortable for annual conferences, though shorter timelines are often workable. If your date is close, ask anyway rather than assuming it is gone.
Where is Chris based and does he travel?
Chris is based in Fremont, Nebraska, and speaks nationwide. He has presented for associations and healthcare organizations across the country, from Texas and Colorado to Virginia, Illinois, Montana, and Utah.
Still deciding? Send the date and the audience, and you will get availability and a quote back within one business day.
