About the Event

A hometown night at an independent bookstore.

The Bookworm has been selling books in Omaha for decades, and it is where Chris wanted to do the local event for You Are Capable of More. Nebraska is home. Fremont is home. This one is a short drive for anyone in the metro. The evening started with Chris talking about the book and the ten principles behind it, then opened up for questions, and ended with him signing copies. The question portion turned out to be the best part, the way it usually does.Copies were available at the store, and people who already owned one brought it along to be signed.
The Talk

You Are Capable of More

The book, the ten principles, and the questions people keep asking.

◆ What Chris Talked About

Most people already know they have more in them. That is not the hard part. The hard part is the distance between knowing it and doing something about it, and how easy that distance is to explain away when nothing in your life is actually going wrong.

Chris wrote the book from inside that gap rather than from above it. It is part memoir and part playbook, built on ten principles for taking ownership of your own growth. The talk covers where the book came from, what he got wrong for a long time, and the small decisions that turned out to matter more than the big ones.

The Book

You Are Capable of More.

You Are Capable of More: A No-Excuses Guide to Becoming Your Best Self came out in August 2026 from Game Changer Publishing, with a foreword by Ben Newman. It is built around ten principles for closing the distance between who you are right now and who you already know you could be. Chris wrote it as a sitting executive rather than a consultant, which is to say he was working on the same things while he wrote them down.
